Sign him up! Neville would give Ibrahimovic two-year deal at United

The Swede has scored 26 goals this season despite a very barren spell in October and November and his sub-par conversion rate.

United are also expected to spend big to bring in a new striker, with Ibrahimovic having been forced to shoulder much of the goalscoring burden this season netting 21 times.

Expressen believe Ibrahimovic could even sign a two-year deal to give himself a greater shot at Premier League and Champions League glory.

The 19-year-old ended the season with eight goals in 18 appearances in all competitions, and while he has seven this term, he has found minutes hard to come by under Mourinho, who has preferred the experience and physicality of Ibrahimovic up front.

Talk of a move to Napoli for the striker was stirred up last month by his agent, Mino Raiola, admitting his client was "in love with city of Naples".

Speaking exclusively to Omnisport, Neville was asked whether he would give Ibrahimovic a two-year deal and the former full-back responded: "I'd say yes". And a player of Zlatan's status wouldn't want to miss out on big matches, and under the circumstances, Jose Mourinho will have a tough time to hold on to the Swede worldwide.

"It's not personal what I have".

"First he called me every day to have me and from one day to the next I didn't play anymore", he said.

"The reality is, I'm not quite sure that will be able to happen as he continues to get a little bit older".

Ibrahimovic is, however, available to play against Rostov in the Europa League on Thursday.

Ibrahimovic will serve the second game of a three-match domestic suspension when United travels to Middlesbrough on Saturday.
