DOJ given until Monday to back up Trump's wiretapping claims against Obama

"So we know that is just a fact of modern life". In it, Conway seemed to expand on Trump's recent claim that Obama wiretapped his campaign headquarters by suggesting surveillance at Trump Tower could have meant more than simply wiretapping phones.

Both the chairman and ranking minority member of the House Intelligence Committee have asked President Trump to produce evidence that Trump Tower phones had been wiretapped by the Obama administration no later than today.

The House Intelligence Committee set a Monday deadline for the Department of Justice to provide evidence of Trump's claim, which Comey has reportedly asked the department to reject.

Pressed repeatedly on her claim by Stephanopoulos, Conway downplayed her original claim and said she wasn't referring to Trump Tower when she said, it just running through the news of the day. "And then she said your microwave".

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, denied during an interview that aired Sunday on CNN's "Fareed Zakaria GPS" that the Russian government collaborated with Trump's campaign.

McCain noted that former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper testified that there was no truth to that allegation, this being the same Clapper who said at a hearing in 2014 the USA was not collecting data on millions of Americans, which proved to be false. However, I am not in the job of having evidence.

And thanks to Kellyanne Conway, Trump's presidential counselor and former campaign manager, this week will be no different. Why? Unable to defend Trump's conspiratorial assertions, Conway was stuck with providing an outlandish response to the The County Bergen Record on Sunday.

Trump has faced harsh criticism for accusing the Obama administration of wiretapping him without citing any evidence.

The House Intelligence Committee has asked White House to provide evidence of its allegations by Monday.

From her home in Alpine, New Jersey, where Conway has a home with her husband and four daughters, she called the ongoing investigations a "waste of people's oxygen and air and resources, and time, when we could be helping people who are hungry, who need healthcare".

In the last two weeks, multiple fake news sites have written stories claiming that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has a warrant out for Obama's arrest stemming from allegations he wiretapped Trump's phones. "In fact, I think there's a lot more shoes to drop from this centipede".
