United Airlines Pilot Removed From Austin-To-San Francisco Flight

A United Airlines pilot was removed from a plane bound for San Francisco International Airport after a freakish rant about politics and her divorce.

The incident happened Saturday night, before the plane was schedule to leave from Austin, Texas.

"She shows up dressed like a civilian and asked us to take a vote to see whether we should have her change into her uniform or fly as is", passenger Pam O'Neal told KPIX television upon landing in San Francisco.

And she continued her rant by insulting the new US President: "Look, I don't care if you voted for Trump or Clinton, they're both a**holes".

Flight 455 eventually left the airport, though it was two hours later than planned, the airline said. The unidentified pilot boarded the aircraft in Austin wearing a ball cap and a t-shirt and opened by asking the passengers if they were ok with that.

"United removed captain, but only after 40 of us stormed off and said she was not in a space to fly", he wrote on Twitter.

Looking back on the situation, he said, "Being a pilot is a tough & stressful job".

Then the pilot addressed her divorce. "I talked to her and hugged her because she was having a nervous breakdown. He's a man", she said to audible gasps recorded on cell phone video. I'm going to let my co-pilot fly it.

A spokesperson for United Airlines told the Mail Online 'We hold our employees to the highest standards and replaced this pilot with a new one to operate the flight, which we expect will depart shortly.

Hobart also said the company will be discussing the ordeal with the pilot-let's just hope no one brings up the governing of our nation or anything like that. "We were looking out for our customers to get them to where they needed to be".
